We were delighted to be able to photograph Kylie & Eric’s Melbourne registry office wedding earlier in the year, which was followed up with family photos and portraits of the happy couple afterwards in Treasury and Fitzroy Gardens. I love the way they are rocking their own style – check out the ace tatts.

Being football fanatics and madly in love, where else would you they choose to get married? Gabby & David are big AFL fans so selecting the MCG as their wedding venue probably wasn’t much of a surprise to most of their guests.
With a ceremony packed with family and friends in The Long Room above the MCG ground, the bride made her entrance by walking the length of the room accompanied by a string quartet.
Following the warm and relaxed ceremony conducted by Kim McClelland, the couple and their family moved to the field for family photos before concentrating on photos of just the two of them together. We used their affordable wedding photography booking to get photos on the field, in the stands using the veil for some movement and in the foreground as well as some wedding photos using the scoreboard on the second level of the interior as a backdrop.
We loved being part of your wedding and we thank you for selecting Budget Wedding Photography as your photographers – all the very best for married life.

Melbourne has countless wedding photography locations. As one of the big cities in Australia, wedding photography can have different aspects here. From the stylish and busy city life to vineyards and vintage farms, a lot of couples in Melbourne can have numerous options on where they want their photos to be taken.
If you are still choosing locations for your affordable wedding photography in Melbourne, here are some of the best options:
It’s a picturesque haven for most wedding photographers. It’s also an important resource for conservation, horticulture, science, and education. Built in 1846, Botanic Gardens extend over thirty-six hectares and display a diverse collection of thousands of plants from across the globe, including threatened and rare species. It is also considered as one of the best examples of Victorian era gardens globally and hosts year-round picnics, tours, weddings, and events.
Botanic Gardens is also one of the most famous tourist attractions in Melbourne. Millions of visitors visit this place every year. The visitor facilities and services also include a visitor centre, interpretive signs, guided walks, Gardens Shop, and two cafes. Garden Explore is also a relaxing way to discover a thirty-eight hectare garden. If you like a stunning view for wedding photos, Botanic Gardens should be your location for affordable wedding photography, but please keep in mind that permits should be obtained before shooting here.
This place has always been a favorite location for wedding photos, particularly for those who want classic shots, involving huge columns, massive ornate wooden doors and the steps leading up to the building.
St Kilda Beach
Beach shots are said to be risky for the reason that it could kill your hair with the wind, yet flowing veil shots may look beautiful and St Kilda beach can offer you stunning shots that will surely amaze you.
Barracks on St Kilda Rd
Nestled on St Kilda Road in Melbourne, Victoria Barracks is one of the most beautiful government buildings and known for its historical and architectural significance. If you want photos that are elegant and vintage, this location is a good choice.
Flinders St Station
Flinders St Station is basically a railway station located at the corner of Swanston Streets and Flinders in Melbourne. But, for many wedding photographers, it isn’t just a railway station as it can also be a perfect spot for wedding photos.
Royal Exhibition Buildings
Royal Exhibition Building offers a stunning background ideal for wedding photography. With the building’s intricate detailing and romantic arches, it’s one of the best locations for your wedding photos.
Carlton Gardens has always been a favourite location for cheap wedding photography in Melbourne. It is well recognised in Melbourne as there’s no permit fee to pay when using the place. The location is always popular and can be busy any time of the week and reaches a crescendo during weekends when it has as many as two hundred couples. If you like to use this wedding photography location, see to it that there is no any major event going on at Carlton Royal Exhibition as it becomes chaotic. There are some sites both nearby and within Carlton Gardens that are also perfect for shoots. It’s not often you get to have a UNESCO listed heritage building in your wedding photos!
We always ask our affordable wedding photographers in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra what they have seen worth sharing on their wedding shoots and which other professional wedding vendors were in attendance. Quite often we get some great feedback.
There is a newish photobooth hire company on the circuit at the moment and they seem to be aiming to please! Not only are they really well priced, but they have also upgraded all their photobooths to make them top notch quality and offer more pleasing result.
Take these photos for example – the white background shows the standard wedding photobooth hire that you usually get, and the shots with the red curtain show the newly upgraded photo booth that features a strobe and beauty dish. I think you’ll agree – the new setup really is excellent, offering a far stronger photo, that clients will absolutely love. Photo courtesy of Elegant Hire Photobooths.
It’s always a pleasure to venture out of Melbourne up to the Yarra Valley for our budget wedding photography service, and even more so when it’s at a great couple like Beryl & Pete.
This shot was just before they moved back into the restaurant at Tokar Estate for lunch – don’t they look happy together! The love just radiates out of these two, and they just don’t stop laughing at each others jokes – such fun to be around!
Melbourne rolled out one of it’s perfect summer days for Lucas & Ainsley’s wedding in Studley Park earlier in the year.
Huge shady trees, plenty of friends, a river and rowing boat – all the ingredients for a fun day!
Thanks for booking your budget wedding photography with us guys – all the very best for the future!
I had never been to a Pagan wedding before so was intrigued and didn’t quite know what to expect from it.
As it turns out, its very much like a regular wedding, in that there is a legal document that is signed and much of the same things are said, but there is alot more to it in terms of participation, props and symbolism.
The venue for the marriage ceremony was on the road out to Ballarat, but as you know we like to travel so that made a fun day out.
Wherever you happen to be getting married and whatever the type of wedding you’re hosting then please do give us a call or visit the website to check out our cheap wedding photography prices. We think you’ll agree, they’re hard to beat!!
We recently had the pleasure of photographing Simon and Anastasia’s wedding in St Kilda.
The ceremony was preceded by affordable wedding photos of the couple in St Kilda Botanical Gardens with it’s beautiful rose garden (perfect for a wedding ceremony!) and long avenues fringed with palms.
Don’t they look stunning!
