A wedding needs to be planned with absolute precision if it is to be a success. One missed detail can make the bride feel like the whole day has been ruined. It is important to make a comprehensive checklist so that every aspect of the big day is given enough attention.
This is a guide to the ultimate wedding day checklist.
The Dress
Every girl dreams of looking like a princess on her wedding day. This means that choosing the right dress can take some careful thought. Instead of picking the first gown that catches the eye, why not try a few on for size? Nowadays there are many different styles to choose from, which reflect everyone’s diverse tastes – women walk down the aisle in everything from the traditional white gown to diamond-studded black dresses. The possibilities are endless.
With so many different styles to choose from, it is best to get a second opinion. This prevents any fashion faux pas and can also make the bride feel confident about her choice.
The Transport
Getting to the wedding venue on time and in style is important. There are many different ways to do this – why not hire a stylish wedding limousine or a vintage horse-drawn carriage? Arriving in such a grand way is sure to make a few heads turn in amazement and make people remember the day for a long time to come.
Limousines allow plenty of legroom, which is important to keep the bride’s dress nice and smooth.
Hiring one doesn’t have to break the bank – Limousine Royalty’s wedding limousines in Perth are extremely cost-effective. See their website at www.limousineroyalty.com.au
The Venue
Australia is becoming increasingly secular, which means that a church wedding isn’t very appealing for many couples looking to tie the knot. If this is the case, there are dozens of other interesting places to have a ceremony in Perth, including the sprawling Darlington Estate Winery and the grand Caversham House estate. There are tasteful venues to suit every budget all over Western Australia. Draw up a list of venues and then weigh up the pros and cons once they have been visited.
The Guestlist
Getting the guest list right can be tricky, and this is often the biggest source of friction between the bride and groom in the planning process. Inviting the right number of people to match the size of the venue is important: trying to cram 700 guests into a tiny chapel isn’t going to be very practical. Choosing who to leave off the guest list is also difficult, so plan this carefully to avoid upsetting or offending anyone.
The Food
Eating delicious food at the reception is the highlight of the day for many guests. Make sure to check whether guests have any specific dietary requirements or allergies, and tailor the menu accordingly. This means that everyone will be able to enjoy the food without getting left out.
Follow this checklist to ensure that the special day goes without a hitch. Remember, preparation is key!
We always ask our affordable wedding photographers in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra what they have seen worth sharing on their wedding shoots and which other professional wedding vendors were in attendance. Quite often we get some great feedback.
There is a newish photobooth hire company on the circuit at the moment and they seem to be aiming to please! Not only are they really well priced, but they have also upgraded all their photobooths to make them top notch quality and offer more pleasing result.
Take these photos for example – the white background shows the standard wedding photobooth hire that you usually get, and the shots with the red curtain show the newly upgraded photo booth that features a strobe and beauty dish. I think you’ll agree – the new setup really is excellent, offering a far stronger photo, that clients will absolutely love. Photo courtesy of Elegant Hire Photobooths.

I had never been to a Pagan wedding before so was intrigued and didn’t quite know what to expect from it.
As it turns out, its very much like a regular wedding, in that there is a legal document that is signed and much of the same things are said, but there is alot more to it in terms of participation, props and symbolism.
The venue for the marriage ceremony was on the road out to Ballarat, but as you know we like to travel so that made a fun day out.

We’re sad to say that one of Melbourne’s most famous and iconic wedding venues has served it’s last wedding dinner and closed it’s doors to further weddings.
The building has been sold off and it’s thought that it may once again, become a private residence.
We shared many great events there with numerous affordable wedding photography clients and are really sad to see it go. Fortunately we took loads of photos at each wedding photography session we did at the venue so we’ll always have plenty of happy memories to look back on!

We recently had the pleasure of photographing Simon and Anastasia’s wedding in St Kilda.
The ceremony was preceded by affordable wedding photos of the couple in St Kilda Botanical Gardens with it’s beautiful rose garden (perfect for a wedding ceremony!) and long avenues fringed with palms.
Don’t they look stunning!
Sometimes, it’s what gets in the way of your photo that makes it more interesting!
Following their recent wedding ceremony at the Melbourne registry at the Old Treasury Building, Loretta & Mike decided upon an affordable wedding photography session in bother Treasury and Fitzroy Gardens.
With it’s wealth of green open space and beautifully kept plants and flowers it really is a stunning backdrop for wedding photos. We obviously shot plenty of options using the greenery and vibrant colours but we decided on a few black and white images to compliment the package.
The fountain in the foreground at Treasury Gardens frames the photo nicely and gives a sense of movement in an otherwise static shot.
