A wedding needs to be planned with absolute precision if it is to be a success. One missed detail can make the bride feel like the whole day has been ruined. It is important to make a comprehensive checklist so that every aspect of the big day is given enough attention.

This is a guide to the ultimate wedding day checklist.

The Dress

Every girl dreams of looking like a princess on her wedding day. This means that choosing the right dress can take some careful thought. Instead of picking the first gown that catches the eye, why not try a few on for size? Nowadays there are many different styles to choose from, which reflect everyone’s diverse tastes – women walk down the aisle in everything from the traditional white gown to diamond-studded black dresses. The possibilities are endless.

With so many different styles to choose from, it is best to get a second opinion. This prevents any fashion faux pas and can also make the bride feel confident about her choice.

The Transport

Getting to the wedding venue on time and in style is important. There are many different ways to do this – why not hire a stylish wedding limousine or a vintage horse-drawn carriage? Arriving in such a grand way is sure to make a few heads turn in amazement and make people remember the day for a long time to come.

Limousines allow plenty of legroom, which is important to keep the bride’s dress nice and smooth.

Hiring one doesn’t have to break the bank – Limousine Royalty’s wedding limousines in Perth are extremely cost-effective. See their website at www.limousineroyalty.com.au

The Venue

Australia is becoming increasingly secular, which means that a church wedding isn’t very appealing for many couples looking to tie the knot. If this is the case, there are dozens of other interesting places to have a ceremony in Perth, including the sprawling Darlington Estate Winery and the grand Caversham House estate. There are tasteful venues to suit every budget all over Western Australia. Draw up a list of venues and then weigh up the pros and cons once they have been visited.

The Guestlist

Getting the guest list right can be tricky, and this is often the biggest source of friction between the bride and groom in the planning process. Inviting the right number of people to match the size of the venue is important: trying to cram 700 guests into a tiny chapel isn’t going to be very practical. Choosing who to leave off the guest list is also difficult, so plan this carefully to avoid upsetting or offending anyone.

The Food

Eating delicious food at the reception is the highlight of the day for many guests. Make sure to check whether guests have any specific dietary requirements or allergies, and tailor the menu accordingly. This means that everyone will be able to enjoy the food without getting left out.

Follow this checklist to ensure that the special day goes without a hitch. Remember, preparation is key!

We always ask our affordable wedding photographers in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra what they have seen worth sharing on their wedding shoots and which other professional wedding vendors were in attendance.  Quite often we get some great feedback.

There is a newish photobooth hire company on the circuit at the moment and they seem to be aiming to please!  Not only are they really well priced, but they have also upgraded all their photobooths to make them top notch quality and offer more pleasing result.

Take these photos for example – the white background shows the standard wedding photobooth hire that you usually get, and the shots with the red curtain show the newly upgraded photo booth that features a strobe and beauty dish.  I think you’ll agree – the new setup really is excellent, offering  a far stronger photo, that clients will absolutely love.  Photo courtesy of Elegant Hire Photobooths.

If you will be having a Sydney wedding soon, consider yourself lucky as this beautiful city has lots of inspiring and picture perfect locations for your affordable wedding photography. Caleb, one of our fellow affordable wedding photographers Agape Studio introduces us to some of the best wedding photography locations in Sydney.

The best and most popular places are those photography locations which offer the perfect combination of colours, angles, moods and recognisable or iconic landmarks. A good photographer with a good eye can come up with various photos which capture the finest spots to give you those wedding pictures you will treasure for life.

Here are some of the most popular and our favourite locations around Sydney well loved by photographers and couples alike.

Sydney Opera House

Australia’s most famous building and among the world’s most widely recognised structures, The Opera House, is a great wedding photography location for all the good reasons. You can visit the Opera House, walk around 360 degrees of it and capture the most stunning wedding photos with the Sydney harbour right at the background.

Right in front of the structure, you can take in the harbor’s glistening waters with Fort Denison on your right, Harbour Bridge on the left and inn a short stroll, you can reach the Botanical Gardens. With this, you can practically take wedding photos everywhere and in every direction.  Alternatively, get on a boat and have it in the background from the water.

Harbour Bridge

Another iconic landmark in Australia, the Harbour Bridge never fails to make it to the list of photo rich locations around Sydney, especially among couples. The whole Sydney Harbour region is amazingly phenomenal and for some, this is simply among the best harbor regions in the whole world. As far as wedding photography opportunities are concerned, you will be spoiled when you are in the harbor as you can capture both the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge at the same time. With its openness and sheer size of landmarks, it is almost impossible to have bad shots in the area.

Vibrant and throbbing with activity all year round, Circular Quay is no doubt Sydney’s number one buzz place. The Quay is the main ferry terminus of the city, located right at the heart of Sydney Cove, which served as the founding place for Australia settlement. The Quay serves as a gateway which connects visitors to the major attractions in the city, including Sydney Harbour, Harbour Bridge, The Rocks and Opera House. This is what makes the Quay a favorite as you can capture practically all scenic views from this particular point.

Bondi, widely popular for its rolling surf and magnificent white sandy beach, is no doubt one of the most ideal locations not only for your wedding photography but also for your wedding ceremony and celebration. Shakespeare’s Point & Neilsen Park Kiosk are also firm favourites for couples getting married, both as a ceremony location and for hosting a reception. It’s a pretty backdrop so also works real well for wedding photos too!

I had never been to a Pagan wedding before so was intrigued and didn’t quite know what to expect from it.

As it turns out, its very much like a regular wedding, in that there is a legal document that is signed and much of the same things are said, but there is alot more to it in terms of participation, props and symbolism.

The venue for the marriage ceremony was on the road out to Ballarat, but as you know we like to travel so that made a fun day out.

Wherever you happen to be getting married and whatever the type of wedding you’re hosting then please do give us a call or visit the website to check out our cheap wedding photography prices.  We think you’ll agree, they’re hard to beat!!

We’re sad to say that one of Melbourne’s most famous and iconic wedding venues has served it’s last wedding dinner and closed it’s doors to further weddings.

The building has been sold off and it’s thought that it may once again, become a private residence.

We shared many great events there with numerous affordable wedding photography clients and are really sad to see it go.  Fortunately we took loads of photos at each wedding photography session we did at the venue so we’ll always have plenty of happy memories to look back on!

If you’re planning an affordable wedding in Melbourne and are looking for cheap wedding photography then you should definitely check out our affordable prices!

We recently had the pleasure of photographing Simon and Anastasia’s wedding in St Kilda.

The ceremony was preceded by affordable wedding photos of the couple in St Kilda Botanical Gardens with it’s beautiful rose garden (perfect for a wedding ceremony!) and long avenues fringed with palms.

Don’t they look stunning!
