It was our pleasure to photograph Marnie & Steve’s recent wedding at the fabulous Farm Vigano in South Morang. Located where Melbourne’s suburbs start to peter out and bushland starts to be the main feature, the restaurant has a lovely country vibe, with great views of the surrounding trees and orchards below the property.

Having found us while looking for cheap wedding photographers in the Melbourne region, we were pleased to be able to offer just a short photography package of 2 hours that fitted with their plans for the day at their elopement style wedding which consisted of a small morning ceremony on the lawn, family and couple photos around the property, before moving into the restaurant for a long and relaxed lunch.

We were pleased to photograph L&C’s Melbourne marriage registry wedding which was attended by their friends and family, including the bride’s side  of the family who took the time to fly out especially for it.

Following the  ceremony and family photos outside the Old Treasury Building on Spring Street, Melbourne, we moved on to Treasury Gardens for some relaxed photos with the couple before they rejoined their guests for their wedding lunch.

Not being afraid to be themselves, the colour blue was very much the theme, with it appearing in the handcrafted paper flowers, the bride’s hair, jewellery and the groom’s outfit too.  I thought the cowboy/girl boots were a nice touch.

We love photographing weddings at the Melbourne Marriage Registry and nearby Treasury Gardens so if you are planning a wedding please do get in touch to discuss your affordable wedding photography options.

We were delighted to be provide the affordable wedding photography at Kerry & Paul’s wedding at Nathania Springs in the Dandenong Ranges earlier in the year.

An early ceremony in the extensive manicured gardens with glorious sunshine and blue skies proceeded onto family photos. Following photos with their respective families we shot some couple portraits around the gardens while their guests enjoyed canapes and drinks on the lawn before the couple and their invited guests enjoyed their reception in the main ballroom with the usual formalities and speeches.

Everyone enjoyed having their photos taken, especially one young man – see if you can guess which one!

We’d love to photograph the day for you so please get in touch!

We love photographing backyard weddings!  They’re always so relaxed and usually alot of fun.  Salli & Dave’s was no exception, with an in-ground trampoline, loads of kids, plenty of bubbles and loads of fabulous food. Their guests had a ball; especially the younger ones. Cakes, trampolines, very short ceremony – it was the perfect wedding for kids!

Fun and laughter were definitely the order of the day, and for the few hours that we attended there was plenty of it knocking around.  In fact, it was probably the jolliest wedding we’ve ever shot – the laughter and joking was constant which was really enjoyable to photograph.  Add to it the location of Bayside Melbourne and you have the perfect ingredients for relaxed and fun wedding photography.

Are you planning a backyard wedding? We’d love to hear from you so send us a message!

Wedding photographer is one of the high pressure and most stressful photography genres to do. Since wedding is a one shot chance, there is no more reshooting of clients and event. It is the most emotionally invested outcomes of a photo.

So if you are beginning to work as wedding photographer, some photo tips will help you navigate some of pitfall of wedding photography.

Here are tips that can help your wedding photography run smoothly:

Have an effective communication. It is the most important thing in wedding photography before the ceremony starts. Your communication with the couple is very important wherein you need to know what exactly the couple expects from you and what you will deliver to them.

You need to scout the location. Before the wedding starts you need to scout the locations. It is important to do it because it is the timeframe of the wedding that will take place. Ensure also to take some shots to the place where you expect shooting during the ceremony. Having practice before wedding starts will let you spot some problems and you can design a solutions before an issue comes.

Learn the locations rules. There are different locations have different rules for every wedding photographer. Some church prohibits flash during ceremony while some prohibits flash completely. So for these rules you need to speak to the planner for the venue and get copy of rules.

Make a shot list. Your shot list will be your lifeline in your wedding photography. This will help you not to forget anything during the wedding ceremony and will make your wedding photos become more successful.

Provide multiple cameras, batteries and cards. You need to minimize the risk of failures. Use at least two cameras and memory cards. It will reduce risk equipment failure and lose large chunks and you still have backups for everything.

Have an assistant. It will be very helpful when trying to pose everyone to have a group shots.

Make yourself firm but polite. Make sure you don’t push out the way of guest with cameras but just get the couple on your side so it will run much smoothly.

Turn off your camera sounds. Everyone is there to see the couple and they do not want to listen to your camera so it is better to turn off your camera sound during the photography wedding.

Be RAW. Since weddings is one time only, you need to consider it RAW. You have much better chance to recover good exposure and details in an image shot under horrid lights conditions with RAW.

Remember the basics. Wedding photography needs the basics in mind before the wedding ceremony starts.

Following these tips will make you an adept wedding photographer come up with very successful photography projects that are second to none.

Melbourne rolled out one of it’s perfect summer days for Lucas & Ainsley’s wedding in Studley Park earlier in the year.

I had never been to a Pagan wedding before so was intrigued and didn’t quite know what to expect from it.

As it turns out, its very much like a regular wedding, in that there is a legal document that is signed and much of the same things are said, but there is alot more to it in terms of participation, props and symbolism.

The venue for the marriage ceremony was on the road out to Ballarat, but as you know we like to travel so that made a fun day out.
