Not quite an elopement, but almost!
Sharron & Paul, by their own description, are an ‘older couple’ and really only wanted a quick and simple marriage ceremony with their closest family so booked in at the Victorian Marriage Registry on Spring Street. A type of elopement wedding without really eloping.

Following their short but very sweet marriage ceremony we strolled over to Treasury Gardens for family photos and then a few low key and casual photos with the newlywed couple before they departed for dinner at The Langham.

In these strange Covid times we’re finding more couples preferring to keep their weddings smaller, more low key and some are eloping, but we’re still offering the same high quality and affordable wedding photography that our clients expect from us so if you’re starting to plan your elopement photography or wedding ceremony please get in touch for a competitive quote.

We all love a trip to the Mornington Peninsula! Even more so if we’re photographing a wedding there, so it was with great pleasure that we agreed to photograph K&M’s wedding at The Royal Hotel in Mornington on a warm December day last year.

Following a friendly and relaxed ceremony inside the hotel and while guests enjoyed drinks and canapes in the bar and beer garden, we took the newlyweds and immediate family for a quick scoot around Mornington for photos at the beach, beach boxes, Mornington Park and around the harbour area.

Following photos with the couple we returned to the hotel to photograph guests mingling and congratulating the couple as well as a mock-cut of the wedding cake prior to guests being welcomed into the dining room for the evening’s celebrations and entertainment. We captured the bride and groom being announced to the room and a few brief speeches before departing.

We packed all this photography in to just 3 hours; so for a very affordable price of around $1000 we managed to provide an extensive selection of affordable wedding photos that covered a short time prior to the ceremony, the marriage ceremony, family photos, couple portraits with the bride and groom, mingling and social photos, cutting the cake photo and reception entry. We think you’ll agree, that’s a pretty good deal!

After we finish up at a wedding we always make a point of treating ourselves to some excellent fish and chips at the beach before heading home to Melbourne which always makes wedding photography bookings on the Mornington Peninsula our absolute favourite!

We love photographing weddings on the Mornington Peninsula, so if you are planning a wedding in the area please do get in touch to discuss your affordable wedding photography options.

We were delighted to be selected as the photographers for A&D’s recent wedding at Ballara Receptions in Eltham near Melbourne.

Ballara Receptions is a popular choice for wedding ceremonies and receptions and as affordable wedding photographers in Melbourne we often find ourselves there in the beautiful chapel and gardens for wedding photos with family and friends.

Often, couples host their ceremony in the gardens in fine weather, but the chapel is an elegant and easy alternative for those Melbourne days that can be a little unpredictable or wet.  Wedding photos with family group shots, bridal party and couple in the gardens follows the ceremony, while guests get to enjoy drinks and canapes before the reception starts.

Ballara is great as a wedding venue since it offers a location for both the ceremony and reception in one location, thereby keeping wedding costs affordable and the opportunity to spend that money on your budget friendly wedding photography.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Pete the Celebrant on one of our recent affordable wedding photography bookings in Melbourne and we’re pleased to say that he’s a lovely chap to work with.

Pete has a lovely calm manner and conducts a professional and heartfelt service which couples seem to adore.  Not only that, but he seems to be very competitively priced compared to other marriage celebrants in Melbourne.

Pete also does something that we loved – he leaves an advert in the form of something very useful.  Some celebrants hand out business cards, but Pete leaves a bottle with his name on it.  It certainly caught my eye and I imagine it must have caught other peoples too.  A brilliant idea, well executed – he must have paid attention in that Marketing 101 class!

So, if you’re looking for a money saving tip for your Melbourne wedding, combine Pete the Celebrant with one of our budget wedding photography packages and you’ll have plenty more spending money for your honeymoon!

Jason & Bianca chose Eynesbury Homestead as their wedding ceremony venue, with a large reception to follow later that day in the centre of Melbourne.

Following their intimate ceremony on the lawn in front of the homestead, we strolled the grounds of Eynesbury and used some of the beautiful scenery and historic buildings for their affordable wedding photography session.

After sending the couple their wedding photos we were delighted to read their review on Easy Weddings which described how happy they were with both their budget wedding photographer and also their resulting photos.

If you’re planning a wedding at Eynesbury Homestead, or anywhere else in Australia then we’d love to hear from you! Our affordable wedding photography is very popular and gets booked up quite quickly, so don’t hang around!

Simon & Patrizia picked a scorcher for their intimate wedding in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne.  A 40c day is a hot day by anyone’s standards, but these two took it all in their stride.

Following their ceremony on the Taxodium Lawn, they posed for photos with friends and family and then ventured into the shade for couple photos before retiring to the pub for some well earned refreshments!

Thanks for allowing us to be part of your day by photographing your wedding. We hope you love your wedding photos!

Carolyn & Jonathan held their recent wedding ceremony in Melbourne’s beautiful Botanic Gardens, and guests were delivered to the gardens by a vintage red double decker bus.

Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed drinks supplied by Blake’s Feast on the lawn with a few family photos with their affordable Melbourne wedding photographers, before moving on to their reception in Port Melbourne.

If you’re planning a wedding in Melbourne’s Botanic Gardens, we’d love to hear from you!

We love photographing backyard weddings!  They’re always so relaxed and usually alot of fun.  Salli & Dave’s was no exception, with an in-ground trampoline, loads of kids, plenty of bubbles and loads of fabulous food. Their guests had a ball; especially the younger ones. Cakes, trampolines, very short ceremony – it was the perfect wedding for kids!

Fun and laughter were definitely the order of the day, and for the few hours that we attended there was plenty of it knocking around.  In fact, it was probably the jolliest wedding we’ve ever shot – the laughter and joking was constant which was really enjoyable to photograph.  Add to it the location of Bayside Melbourne and you have the perfect ingredients for relaxed and fun wedding photography.

Are you planning a backyard wedding? We’d love to hear from you so send us a message!

Being football fanatics and madly in love, where else would you they choose to get married?  Gabby & David are big AFL fans so selecting the MCG as their wedding venue probably wasn’t much of a surprise to most of their guests.

With a ceremony packed with family and friends in The Long Room above the MCG ground, the bride made her entrance by walking the length of the room accompanied by a string quartet.

Following the warm and relaxed ceremony conducted by Kim McClelland, the couple and their family moved to the field for family photos before concentrating on photos of just the two of them together.  We used their affordable wedding photography booking to get photos on the field, in the stands using the veil for some movement and in the foreground as well as some wedding photos using the scoreboard on the second level of the interior as a backdrop.

We loved being part of your wedding and we thank you for selecting Budget Wedding Photography as your photographers – all the very best for married life.

Alisha & Gavin booked us as their affordable wedding photographers for their recent wedding ceremony at Black Rock Yacht Club at Half Moon Bay.

Following a fashionably late entrance, Alisha posed for photos with her baby daughter and parents before her daughter walked the aisle ahead of her.

With a succinct and warm but meaningful, ceremony conducted by Geoff Padgett guests moved inside the yacht club to enjoy canapes and drinks, as well as soak up the glorious summers day over the bay.

The wife of Celebrant Geoff Padget is also a wedding photographer wannabe so couples also get a second set of photos from her camera that she has been using on the day, which probably includes similar scenes from alternative angles, shots over the main photographers shoulder, possibly focussing on different guests or aspects. As an added extra, it’s a pretty good freebie!

We look forward to photographing many more weddings at Black Rock Yacht Club as it’s got such a stunning view. Nearby is the famous Cerberus, which is possibly the best fish and chip restaurant in the whole bayside area, which is great for a snack on the way home!
