Not quite an elopement, but almost!
Sharron & Paul, by their own description, are an ‘older couple’ and really only wanted a quick and simple marriage ceremony with their closest family so booked in at the Victorian Marriage Registry on Spring Street. A type of elopement wedding without really eloping.
Following their short but very sweet marriage ceremony we strolled over to Treasury Gardens for family photos and then a few low key and casual photos with the newlywed couple before they departed for dinner at The Langham.
In these strange Covid times we’re finding more couples preferring to keep their weddings smaller, more low key and some are eloping, but we’re still offering the same high quality and affordable wedding photography that our clients expect from us so if you’re starting to plan your elopement photography or wedding ceremony please get in touch for a competitive quote.
It was our pleasure to photograph Marnie & Steve’s recent wedding at the fabulous Farm Vigano in South Morang. Located where Melbourne’s suburbs start to peter out and bushland starts to be the main feature, the restaurant has a lovely country vibe, with great views of the surrounding trees and orchards below the property.
Having found us while looking for cheap wedding photographers in the Melbourne region, we were pleased to be able to offer just a short photography package of 2 hours that fitted with their plans for the day at their elopement style wedding which consisted of a small morning ceremony on the lawn, family and couple photos around the property, before moving into the restaurant for a long and relaxed lunch.
We enjoy shooting weddings of all size and style so please do get in touch to chat about your plans. You might like to check out other recent weddings we have photographed around Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane over on our blog.
As affordable wedding photographers often operating out of Melbourne, we relish the chance for a bit of travel out to regional areas of Victoria, such as Kyneton and Bendigo, so when the enquiry for this Daylesford wedding arrived it was an immediate yes from us!
The Lake House is nestled just above a lake in spa country, as you enter the town of Daylesford, 90 minutes from Melbourne and is the perfect area for holding a wedding with it’s relaxed country vibe and friendly hospitality.
With a ceremony on the lake terrace, drinks and photos with family followed the official side of the day, before the bride and groom invited their guests to join them for a relaxed reception just as the sun was setting.
We all love a trip to the Mornington Peninsula! Even more so if we’re photographing a wedding there, so it was with great pleasure that we agreed to photograph K&M’s wedding at The Royal Hotel in Mornington on a warm December day last year.
Following a friendly and relaxed ceremony inside the hotel and while guests enjoyed drinks and canapes in the bar and beer garden, we took the newlyweds and immediate family for a quick scoot around Mornington for photos at the beach, beach boxes, Mornington Park and around the harbour area.
Following photos with the couple we returned to the hotel to photograph guests mingling and congratulating the couple as well as a mock-cut of the wedding cake prior to guests being welcomed into the dining room for the evening’s celebrations and entertainment. We captured the bride and groom being announced to the room and a few brief speeches before departing.
We packed all this photography in to just 3 hours; so for a very affordable price of around $1000 we managed to provide an extensive selection of affordable wedding photos that covered a short time prior to the ceremony, the marriage ceremony, family photos, couple portraits with the bride and groom, mingling and social photos, cutting the cake photo and reception entry. We think you’ll agree, that’s a pretty good deal!
After we finish up at a wedding we always make a point of treating ourselves to some excellent fish and chips at the beach before heading home to Melbourne which always makes wedding photography bookings on the Mornington Peninsula our absolute favourite!
We love photographing weddings on the Mornington Peninsula, so if you are planning a wedding in the area please do get in touch to discuss your affordable wedding photography options.
We were delighted to be selected as the photographers for A&D’s recent wedding at Ballara Receptions in Eltham near Melbourne.
Ballara Receptions is a popular choice for wedding ceremonies and receptions and as affordable wedding photographers in Melbourne we often find ourselves there in the beautiful chapel and gardens for wedding photos with family and friends.
Often, couples host their ceremony in the gardens in fine weather, but the chapel is an elegant and easy alternative for those Melbourne days that can be a little unpredictable or wet. Wedding photos with family group shots, bridal party and couple in the gardens follows the ceremony, while guests get to enjoy drinks and canapes before the reception starts.
Ballara is great as a wedding venue since it offers a location for both the ceremony and reception in one location, thereby keeping wedding costs affordable and the opportunity to spend that money on your budget friendly wedding photography.
